Note from Matt’s Mom:

Just talked to Matthew, he was at the hospital. He said he does have malaria. He feels really weak and nauseous. He said he was going back to Pierre’s, just waiting for Dani to come take him home. Melody Dietrich, one of the career missionaries, just came down with malaria yesterday too. We would ask that our readers keep Melody in your prayers too. She had a life-threatening case of malaria last fall, and we will be praying that the treatment kicks in quickly this time.

I asked Matthew to please get his mosquito net up. He said he had talked to Pierre about it and he thinks Pierre will put it up for him tonight. He didn’t say much about Ella, so we are not sure if she is better or worse from this morning.

Some of Matt’s blog readers have asked if they could do something for Pierre. Like send money to buy him some goats, if that would help to improve their quality of life. I tried to ask Matt what might be good, but he said his mind was pretty fuzzy and he wasn’t thinking that good. So we had to say goodbye.

Appreciate all the prayers, we will try to get an update on how everyone is doing tomorrow. I might e-mail Dani to see if she will keep us updated on Matt, Ella, and Melody while Matthew is sick…
